Methods of Dealing with Mold in the Bathroom

Having molds in the bathroom, sinks, showers or in any other moisture area it is a very common question that we hear most of the times and there is nothing to be ashamed of. Baking Soda:
A little baking soda can be used to take care about almost anything. This non-toxic product is safe and easy to use for house cleaning and it has dry properties that can effectively prevent future molds from growing. To kill the molds you need to combine a spoonful baking soda with the water in a spray bottle. Spray it on the moldy areas and use a sponge to scrub the mold away.

Vinegar is another non-toxic house cleaning product that works well on the moldy walls. Simply you can pour it into the spray bottle and spray it on the moldy surfaces. Let it sit for at least an hour then you can wipe the area with clean water and let it dry. 

When you are using the bleach for house cleaning, make sure that you wear the gloves and be careful that you don’t get any of the bleach solution on color clothes, towels or bath rugs. To clean the mold with the bleach make a solution of ¾ cup of bleach per gallon of warm water. Apply the solution to the affected areas by suing a spray bottle sponge. Let is sit for at least 5 minutes and rinse it with warm water

It is much like a vinegar and baking soda, Borax is one of those house cleaning products that can be used for any job. To prevent the mold, you must sprinkle a little bit borax powder on a damp sponge and scrub your tubs, sink, tiles, and then rinse it with the water.

Hydrogen Peroxide:
Hydrogen peroxide can be easily found in your medicine cabinet. It appears to be non-toxic and it can be used for house cleaning & to get rid of the mold from your bathroom. It has an effervescent fizz, it is also better than the bleach at penetrating the porous bathroom walls. You just need to pour it into the spray bottle and saturate the moldy surfaces. Let it sit for at least 10 minutes and then scrub the area until the molds come off. Lastly, wipe the surfaces clean and dry to remove any of the residual spores.

Humidity Control:
Getting control of humidity is the best way to ban the moldy bathroom walls because when you keep the humidity level below 50% then there are less chances to have mold in the first place. To keep the air moisture low, you must turn on the ventilation fan while your take a bath. You can also open the window, turn on the air conditioner to keep the air fresh and dry out the mold more efficiently.
